Microsoft je precej potiho izdal novo verzijo požrešnega programa za instantno sporočanje, MSN Messenger imenovanega. Tokratna verzija je iz končne 13 poskočila na 16, prinaša pa zgolj nekaj bugfixov. Angleško lahko dobite tukaj, slovensko pa tukaj. Kot ponavadi pa tudi tokrat svetujem, da programček patchate. Tokrat pa bi vam rad poleg standardnega A-Patcha predstavil še enega, Messenger Ghost. Download linka in opis funkcij sledijo v nadaljevanju. MSN A-Patch je že znano orodje, opcije pa so precej samoumevne, a še vseeno svetujem, da patchajo le dobro poučeni uporabniki. Velja pa, da če ga kje polomite, lahko vedno reinštalirate messenger in spet bo delovalo po starem. Novost pa je MSNMSGR Ghost, ki ga lahko presnamete tukaj. Funkcije, ki jih ponuja, pa so naslednje (v angleščini):

– Enable Polygamy (Allows you to open multiple MSN Clients)
– Remove File Protection (Allows you the ability to receive files with any extension)
– Install Mess.be Custom Games (Installs Mess.be Custom Games in the Games dropdown menu)

Conversation Windows
– Disable Delay Between Nudges (Allows you to send nudges as fast you want)
– Remove MSN logo (Removes the MSN logo in Conversation Windows)
– Remove ‘Search’ button (Removes the ‘Search’ button in Conversation Windows)
– Remove ‘What’s Hot’ sections (Removes the ‘What’s Hot’ sections in the Emoticons, Winks and Packs drop downs in Conversation Windows)

– Show ‘Idle’ Status (Shows ‘(Idle)’ label next to users which have been inactive for a set period of time)
– Display Pic Opens ‘Change DP’ Screen (When you click on your Display Pic in Contact List it opens the ‘Change Display Picture’ dialog)
– Boost Personal Messages to 500 Characters (Increases the amount of characters (letters) you can have in your Personal Message to 500. Truncated to 129 Chars in Contact List but full-length in Conversation Windows)

Prav tako ima Ghost patch tudi restore funkcijo, ki vam omogoča enostavno obnovitev, če ga kje polomite.

Patcha sta preskušena na angleških verzijah MSN Messengerja, načeloma pa naj bi delovala tudi s slovenskim, vendar ne zagotavljam popolne kompatibilnosti zaradi spremenjenega language dllja.
Morda ni odveč poudariti, da lahko applyate lahko le en patch :) Jaz ostajam na A-Patchu.
